I finally learned how to
go wild. I put the bells
in my mouth and shook
my head out the car window.
my skirt fluttered in the
wind and all the requests
on the radio show put runs
in my tights.
I waited for myself
to come home. I sat under
the yellow lamp with my hands
between my thighs.
if I had one more hand,
I’d place it on the doorknob
to my own house, enter
without knocking,
explain to my own
worried eyes
where I’ve been.
